Sholay is a copy of Sergio Leone's masterpiece 'Once Upon a Time in the West' starring Henry Fonda (Gabbar Singh) and Charles Bronson. The scene where Gabbar comes down the mountain and kills Sanjeev Kumar's family is lifted frame by frame from Leone's movie. Pay attention to the part where Sanjeev's son/in-law is on the swing and it keeps swinging after he is shot.
